Calgary's singer /songwriter Tom Wilson, born and raised in West Virginia has an honest, refreshing style of country music that is hip and contemporary, yet true to his Appalachian roots.
Writing with a western Canadian perspective, he weaves themes of love, loneliness and the lure of the highway into his finely crafted songs, sung with a rich vocal style and a keen sense of humor.
Tom has performed with both the Hot House Bluegrass Band and Jerusalem Ridge as well as appearing at the 1997 Merle Watson Memorial Festival in North Carolina and the Blueberry and Shady Grove Bluegrass Festivals, the Calgary Folk Festival and the Barlow Creek Country Muste Festival and has appeared on CBC's Country Beat and Shaw Cable's project discovery.
